member, but also serves as president.
Her First Love
This New York City native started
dreaming seriously of becoming an
actress when she was 15 and living in
Manhattan. Four years later she began
formal acting studies. “I had visions of
walking down that red carpet and winning
an Academy Award,” she reveals. While
the Oscar was elusive, Janice did
compile an impressive list of credits—in
theater, movies, commercials,
industrials and more. She also pursued a
career as a flight attendant, ultimately
winning top-level wings on a major
corporation’s jet. Prior to that, she
held the post of catering director for
Washington, D.C.’s prestigious Capitol
Hill Club. “But acting was always my
first love,” Janice notes. To this day,
as an avocation, she remains committed
to community theater and to independent
films—in an acting, casting or a
producing role.
The Visual Arts, Too
Professionally, Janice focuses
intently on her real estate career.
Personally, she aims to spend as much
time as possible with her husband, Bill,
and wide circle of friends. She and Bill
share a love of the visual as well as
performing arts. They’re enthusiastic
collectors of paintings in particular.
She’s also an avid student of interior
design and an accomplished home
decorator, which led Janice to become an
Accredited Staging Professional. “It’s
very satisfying for me to enhance the
interest and appeal of a room or a whole
house,” she says.
